Repertoire

With Astor Piazzolla as a starting point, the Almagro Ensemble focuses on contemporary repertoire from Argentina crossing the boundaries of tango, jazz and contemporary classical music from Buenos Aires based composers Diego Schissi, Ramiro Gallo and Sonia Possetti as well as original compositions and new commissions. We are also aiming to collaborate with contemporary dancers and choreographers in the future to create a contemporary show that takes tango as its starting point.
